SERMON ACTIVITY LEADERS NEEDED Can you help us? We are happy to offer sermon activity time in Good Shepherd Hall for young children during the 9:30 worship service. The children enjoy playing games, doing crafts, reading books and other activities. These activities will continue being led by volunteers until our new pastoral team is in place later this year. If you’re interested in leading an activity, please sign up on the bulletin board at church, or contact Judy St. Vincent at wissaint@aol.com or 249-6577 in the evenings. We really appreciate your help!

PERSONAL CARE KITS (formerly called Health Kits). We are collecting weekly for these kits.  Included are: Adult-size Toothbrush, Nail clippers, bath-size bars of soap, sturdy comb and medium weight bath towel (52” x 27”) dark colors recommended. Last year Lake Edge sent 80 Health Kits to Lutheran World Relief. Thanks for your support!

ABOUT A YEAR AGO THE MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT COMMITTEE began to develop and establish a task force called the Care Team. The idea was to have one visitor "shepherd" one or two homebound members, checking in with them by phone, visiting in person, taking communion and making sure that they know that they are cared about by our congregation. At times information is passed along to the pastor. Everything is treated with confidentiality. Last spring we sponsored a luncheon and were so pleased that many were able to attend. The Care Team now numbers twelve members and serves twenty of our members. We are ready to extend an invitation to any member of the congregation that would appreciate someone from their congregation checking in on them. You do not have to be homebound or be of a certain age or condition.  If you or someone you know would benefit from this lay ministry please let us know. You may contact the church office at 222-7339 or contact Pastor Stephen. Our next Care Team meeting will be Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m.
