AN INVITATION TO BRAINSTORM
How can Lake Edge support our children and families and fulfill our baptismal promises?
The Church Council help a long-range planning brainstorming session at our January kick-off meeting.  The Council identified a focus area of our children and youth (ages 0-18) as a key element in our congregation’s continued health and growth.

The Council would like to hear your thoughts on how Lake Edge can meet the commitment we make as a congregation at Baptism to support our children and families.  There will be two listening/brainstorming sessions held:
Sunday, March 30^th at 10:45 AM (during the education hour)
Monday evening, March 31^st – 6:30 to 8:00 PM

We would appreciate all members’ input on this vital subject, including our children.  Please mark your calendars and plan on attending one of these sessions to help us keep Lake Edge a thriving community of faith.

PRAYER CHAINS Are you interested in being on one of the prayer chains?  Please contact either Sylvia Johnson at 222-5675, Joan Martin at 839-1370 or Judy Raebel-McKinley at 242-0395.  Watch for a meeting soon that will feature guidelines for being on a prayer chain.

DIALOGUE REMINDER The April newsletter deadline is March 26. The Dialogue will be assembled and mailed on April 3.

INTERFAITH HOSPITALITY NETWORK (IHN)  This is the last day to check the sign-up board in the fellowship area for our IHN host week at Lake Edge UCC  taking place March 30 through April 5  Please see if you might help to fill any of the remaining openings for food preparation, children's activity time or overnight hosts.  Interfaith Hospitality Network is also one of many worthy organizations that accepts cash donations throughout the year to support their efforts in finding temporary and permanent housing for people in our community.  Thanks to everyone for your support.

HEALTH KIT COLLECTION for March is TOOTHBRUSHES (new) – no children’s toothbrushes.  Last year with your help, Lake Edge sent 152 Health Kits to Lutheran World Relief.  This is on a voluntary basis only.  Remember, No Toothpaste will be collected this year.  Thank you for your contributions.  They are very much appreciated.

WELCA SPRING BANQUET tickets are on sale today.  “Tiptoe Through the Tulips” with the Dixie Divas is the theme.  Cost is $8.50 per person.  Come join us women for a welcome spring outing in Good Shepherd Hall on Saturday, April 5^th at noon.
