Our Sister Congregation in El Salvador

Cristo Rey Lutheran Church in Santa Ana, El Salvador has been our sister congregation for many years.

Though many personal relationships have grown through visits in both directions, our strongest bonds and shared spiritual growth has come through mutual support, education, prayers and a shared commitment to social justice; as inspired and exemplified by the life and teachings of our Savior Jesus Christ.

We have begun planning for another trip by Lake Edge members to El Salvador, especially since the experiences of those who went in 2007 have inspired so many others.

While our congregation as a whole has continued to provide resources for the Cristo Rey community, every Christmas Lake Edge individuals and families have a special opportunity to send scholarships for children who are then able to pay fees and receive classroom supplies to attend school for a year.
